SIBS Discovery

Intended to be booked as a course, these three sessions will come together to provide carer siblings, aged 7 years and over, with an understanding of Neurodivergence, their relationship with their special sib and the world, and some tools to cope when things get tough though activity, games, arts and crafts. With the support of the team and with peers who understand,  we aim to enable sibs to see the big picture, value their worth, and take care of themselves whilst taking some time out, relaxing, and having some fun. 

Session 1 - Tues 16th May - All About Me; supports sibs to not only discuss their family dynamic and the impact of neurodivergence but focus on themselves, their skills, their strengths, dreams and aspirations

Session 2 - Tues 20th June - All About Them; takes a look at neurodivergence and aims to help sibs make sense of the difference it makes to their lives.

Session 3 = Tues 18th June - My Toolbox; brings together all we have learned together and aims for sibs to finish the course with a set of physical and emotional tools to go forward with and live their best lives and of course a whole new group of friends to continue the journey with at social sibs. 

All will be delivered in a very light touch way through team, play and creative activities and it will not be all work, sibs will get the opportunity to relax, socialise, make connections and of course eat dinner ( always their favorite bit ! ) 

Sibs is intended for those who are not neurodivergent themselves, whilst we acknowledge that many neurodivergent sibs are caring for others in this context it is important that everyone can talk freely and get a break from their caring role.
